With so many brands and options out there, how do you choose the healthiest peanut butter? A registered dietitian breaks down what to look for when shopping for the spread on the 'EatingWell' website.

The first place to start is the label, says Mackenzie Burgess, RD. One key thing to look at is the total calories. "Aim for products that have around 190 calories per two- tablespoon serving."

When it comes to added sugar, see if it's included on the ingredient list. "Going without can help you reduce your overall intake of added sugar throughout the day."

Another thing to consider is sodium. "A good-quality peanut butter will ideally have less than 150 milligrams of sodium per serving."
