If you are one of those people who cannot resist a good home trick, know that potatoes will be one of your greatest allies in domestic chores. This ingredient is present in a list of home cleaning solutions from Informe Brasil.
See below eight utilities of potatoes that promise to surprise you:
1- Use a little potato to scrub glass and mirrors. The starch present in this food helps to remove dirt and stains;
2- Cut a raw potato in half and rub it on the stains that insist on not leaving carpets. Once again, potato starch is responsible for the 'magic';

3- Make a paste with mashed potatoes and salt. Then apply it to copper utensils and rub carefully;
4- Rub crushed potatoes on silverware. After a few minutes, just rinse;
5- Rub raw potatoes on CDs and DVDs and you will see that the scratches will disappear;
6- To remove dirt from leather shoes, rubbing a raw potato on them also solves the problem;
7- Place a potato cut in half in a bowl to absorb unpleasant odors in closed environments;
8- Rub a little potato on pencil and pen marks on the walls.
