The brands vary, but these drinks are far from being recommended. Soft drinks are a sugar bomb and nutritionally poor. Basically, they are to forget that it exists.

To the newspaper Metrópoles, the nutritionist Andrea Sampaio, from the Sírio-Libanês Hospital, states that stopping drinking soft drinks can have benefits throughout the body. "A 350 milliliter can of soft drink has about 10 teaspoons of sugar, which corresponds to 100% of what is recommended daily", she explains. As such, putting these drinks aside helps to lose weight.

The chances of developing diabetes are also lower. When you stop consuming soft drinks, "there is a stabilization of blood sugar levels", points out the nutritionist.

And speaking of sugar, the appearance of the skin also improves. As Andrea Sampaio explains, "sugar makes collagen stiffer, makes the skin more dehydrated and dull. This can trigger increased oiliness and promote acne".

She also mentions that stopping drinking soft drinks also leads to less fat in the liver.
