No plans for the next few days? Over the weekend there are plenty of reasons to celebrate and have fun, alone or with company. Why? We are counting down to Earth Day, on April 22, and the 50th anniversary of the Carnation Revolution, on April 25. With this in mind, Lifestyle ao Minuto has made a list with plenty of suggestions to enjoy.

1- The Ocean Is Our Earth
For Earth Day (April 22), the Oceano Azul Foundation has challenged multiple organizations and entities from all over the country to create special programming about the ocean. This means that over the next few days, and until April 24, you have the opportunity to participate in hundreds of educational activities, games, workshops, lectures, and exhibitions. 2- Make a Carnation of April
After the April 25 Revolution, in 1974, carnations became a symbol of freedom in Portugal. Therefore, 50 years later, the São Jorge Castle, in Lisbon, invites children and adults to participate in a craft workshop on Sunday, where they will learn to make a paper carnation, with a message of freedom. You can also participate in the initiative on the 25th and 28th. When the initiative ends, the castle will have a carnation mural.

3- The Wonderful World Of Orchids
Already thinking about Mother's Day, celebrated on May 5, the Museu do Oriente, in Lisbon, hosts a special workshop on orchids, a more lasting alternative to the classic bouquets of flowers offered at this time of year. It all happens on Saturday, April 20, and the session includes a practical approach to cultivation and maintenance.

4- Hendrick’s Gin Grand Cabaret
Today, Friday, an event for all "free-spirited souls" takes place at the Palácio de Tancos, in Lisbon. This is a Hendrick's party that celebrates a new launch: the Gin Grand Cabaret. Lots of entertainment is planned and each room of the palace will reveal a hidden talent.

5- Natural Healing Event
On Saturday, Serenity - The Art of Well Being invades the Hyatt Regency Lisboa, in the capital, hosts a multisensory experience. This is a program designed to address the fast pace of life and includes a guided cacao ceremony, as well as free conscious dance, aromatherapy, and breathing exercises.

6- Brunch Stories of the Coffee Plantation
Do you like coffee? You really have to book a table at the InterContinental Lisbon on Sunday, April 21, where a special brunch menu is available. In addition to classics, such as eggs benedict, other delicacies are available, as well as plenty of freshly roasted coffee. Latte art demonstrations and two workshops are planned.
