Specialist reveals the mistakes that are preventing you from losing weight

Nowadays, on social media, many miracle diets and quick solutions for losing weight are mentioned. But, unfortunately, most of them don't work and have very negative consequences for health. Therefore, Emily Kerley, a 'fitness coach' and content creator, quoted in BestLife, revealed some of the habits that seem great, but are preventing you from losing weight.

Mistakes that are preventing you from losing weight:
- Completely avoiding carbohydrates and fats. "They are essential for energy, hormonal health, metabolism function and much more". She considers it more important to make more selective food choices;
- Doing cardio exercises too often. "Running on the treadmill every day will not make you lose fat. Limit yourself to weight training and then do some cardio";
- Skipping meals. "You think you're saving calories but, in reality, you'll end up overeating and snacking later. Besides, your body needs the fuel from food to build lean muscle and, in turn, help in losing fat";
- Looking for quick solutions. "They seem very appealing, but they are quick solutions for a reason. If you can't imagine following a diet for five, 10, 15 years in the future, it's not sustainable for you".
