Signs You Should Get a Colonoscopy (Before 45)
Specialists state that certain symptoms, as well as other factors, may be sufficient reason to do the screening before the recommended age.

Many people don't know this, but colorectal cancer unfortunately has high mortality rates. To identify it, exams such as colonoscopies are necessary, which are recommended for people over 50 years old with no risk factors, and for individuals at risk who are 45 years old.
However, there are reasons to talk to your doctor and get the exam done sooner. Did you know? Jeffrey Dueker, Reid Ness, and Carole Macaron, three gastroenterologists cited in Huffpost, a blog aggregator, listed some of them. Take note!

Signs that you should have a colonoscopy (before age 45):
- Finding blood in your stool;
- Unexplained weight loss;
- Sudden abdominal pain;
- You have a family history of colorectal cancer;
- You have iron deficiency anemia, inflammatory bowel disease, or a history of certain cancers.
