And not only that! There are other risks, warns an expert. He explains that quick baths and more focused on the armpits and groins may be enough.

Do you shower every day? Can you never leave the house or go to bed without going through the shower? The topic is not consensual and, from time to time, resurfaces, dividing those who shower every day from those who only shower when they think it is necessary. Even so, you may have already heard that you may be damaging the skin's natural layer. Now you should also know that there may be more risks, such as a decrease in the immune system's defenses.
Robert H. Shmerlin, editor of Harvard Health Publishing, quoted here by the Fox News channel, revealed that healthy oils and good bacteria can leave your skin with daily baths. And it goes even further.

"Our immune system needs some stimulation by microorganisms and other environmental exposures to create protective antibodies and 'immune memory'" he explains. He says that is why many pediatricians and dermatologists do not recommend daily baths for children.
"Frequent baths or showers throughout life can reduce the immune system's ability to do its job."
There are also some risks associated with chemicals that may be present in water, such as salts, metals, chlorine and pesticides, as well as in soaps, shampoos and conditioners.
But after all, how many times a week should we bathe? "Although there is no ideal frequency, experts suggest that bathing several times a week is enough for most people."
He also says that short showers, for three to four minutes, and focused on the armpits and groin area may be sufficient.
