There are several benefits that you can receive when you consume ginger. Even so, not everything is good news. In some cases, this ingredient ends up affecting the effect of some medications.
The 'website' EatingWell spoke with the pharmacist Havy Ngo-Hamilton to understand in which cases this can happen.

Anticoagulants
Ginger can interfere with a substance called thromboxane. "Thromboxane causes platelets to clump together and form blood clots at the site of injury", says Havy Ngo-Hamilton.
Diabetes medications
Ginger reduces blood sugar levels, but if you are already taking medication, this may end up lowering levels even further. "When consumed in excess, ginger can contribute to hypoglycemia."
Antiarrhythmic medications
"The compounds present in ginger can block the entry of calcium into cells."
Blood pressure medications
"It can relax blood vessels and lead to a decrease in blood pressure."
