Temperatures may be rising, so it's only natural to up your fluid intake. But you should be careful about what you're drinking. A dietitian says there are options that can spike your blood sugar and also cause you to gain weight.
The website SheFinds spoke with registered dietitian Krutika Nanavati, who revealed the two drinks you should avoid when the heat is on. Read on to find out what they are.

Fruit juice
"Despite their healthy image, many store-bought fruit juices are loaded with added sugars, often as high as or higher than the sugar content of soda. Sugar facilitates fat storage around the belly."
Pre-made smoothies
"Smoothies can contain significant amounts of sugar from fruit juices, syrups, sweetened dairy, and other ingredients. The sugar content in smoothies can cause a rapid spike in blood sugar levels."
