Do you love zucchini? Do you always add it to your shopping list? It's time to learn how to store it properly to avoid waste as much as possible. Albert Nguyen, lead instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City, quoted on Martha Stewart's website, explained everything in detail.
According to the chef, whole, uncut zucchini should be stored in a plastic bag, as well as in the refrigerator drawer. The plastic bag generally keeps the zucchini fresh, preventing moisture loss, he adds.
The drawer "will prevent excess moisture from accumulating, which would otherwise promote spoilage," explains Bryan Quoc Le, food scientist and author.
