According to the municipality, this initiative is scheduled for the morning period, at Rossio Marquês de Pombal, in the space of the traditional market and fair of antiques and bric-a-brac of the Alentejo city, with the aim of marking the date on which the Festival da Rainha usually takes place, which will not be held this year.

The programme includes several entertainment initiatives, until 2 pm, namely music, dance, juggling and the parade that usually integrates the programme of the Festival da Rainha-Feira Medieval de Estremoz, which will go through the streets of the city, from the Secondary School to Rossio Marquês de Pombal.
The local authority revealed that, due to the need to carry out recovery works on the support wall of the viewpoint of Largo Dom Dinis and to the ongoing initiative to grant the Casa das Fardas, within the scope of the Revive Programme, it will not be possible to hold the Festival da Rainha this year.
For this reason, the municipality of Estremoz and the Secondary School of Rainha Santa Isabel decided to hold this Medieval Market associated with one of the 'ex-libris' of the city of Estremoz, the Saturday market, the council added.
Craftsmen and merchants who wish to participate as exhibitors may register at the Estremoz tourist office, until the 14th, added the municipality.
