"The front rows, closer to the entrance and exit of the plane, are sought after by those who are in a hurry to disembark." This is according to Deco - Portuguese Association for Consumer Protection.
Sitting in these seats "is particularly useful in the early hours of the morning". This is because it is "when traffic is heaviest", it says.
If turbulence bothers you, "the seats near the wings are more stable". Therefore, they end up being "more suitable for people who feel uncomfortable in the air, especially in moments of instability".

On the other hand, Deco states that the place to avoid is the one next to the bathroom and the meal preparation area. "The last row is a noisier area" and "often the seats are less reclining and less comfortable".
The seats in the tail are less requested by most passengers and, as such, are ideal for those who do not want to socialize.
