After including Wagyu and Kobe in its menu, Sala de Corte, in Lisbon, reinforced its commitment to the most noble bovine breeds in the world. This time, the choice fell on Buey Gallego, considered by experts to be one of the best origins of beef worldwide.

"Its meat has a deep and complex flavour, with remarkable and distinct aromas. It has a tender and unctuous texture, with a broad and persistent flavour. The natural fat present gives it richness and character, with a touch of natural pasture feeding", explains in a press release chef Luís Gaspar, who has been in charge of the restaurant since 2015, when it opened. And he continues: "This is a piece recognised worldwide and it helps us present our customers with the best quality origins and products, in line with Sala de Corte's culture".

The one that was distinguished as the 34th 'Best Steakhouse in the World' by the annual ranking of 'World’s 101 Best Steak Restaurants' now serves the prestigious Chuletón de Buey Gallego, with 45 days of maturation. The cut is indicated for sharing, since each piece weighs about 1.800 kilos, and costs 250 euros/kg.
