A simple change in preferences could be a sign of dementia
Doctor explains everything about a little-known symptom. Read carefully.

Do you know the most common symptoms of dementia? For example, the list includes memory and concentration problems, as well as personality changes, mood and unexplained irritability. There are others, less known, and Nikita Patel, a doctor, quoted in the Huffpost, a blog aggregator, explained everything about one: changes in food preferences.
According to the specialist, "the different types of dementia affect people differently. Even people with the same type of dementia can have very different symptoms".
For example, "a lesser-known symptom is a change in the way people process or sense taste, resulting in a change in their taste preferences", she explains.
This means that "some people may develop a new taste for sweets, even though they have hated sugar in the past, or they may find themselves craving something they would not normally eat, for example, a vegetarian may suddenly start craving meat", she adds.
