Chefs reveal the kitchen gadgets they can't live without

Forks, spoons and knives are essential kitchen tools, but there are many other important and versatile ones. Which ones? Three chefs, quoted on Martha Stewart's website, revealed which are the most indispensable and that everyone should have at home. Take note!

Kitchen utensils that two chefs can't do without:
- Tongs (or pliers). "They offer a long reach and a firm grip, making them useful for multiple tasks," explains Tamara Earl, chef at Delectablez in the United States. She considers them "essential for turning vegetables on the grill, tossing salads and pasta, serving noodles and even for elegantly plating dishes;
- Kitchen shears. Reid Shilling, chef and owner of Shilling Canning Company in the United States, recommends that you always have a pair of scissors in the kitchen. You can use it for different tasks. For example, "some cooks even prefer to use kitchen shears instead of a knife to cut herbs," he adds;
- Tea strainer. According to Donald Young, Michelin-starred chef and owner of Duck Sel in the United States, besides helping to make an amazing tea, this utensil can be useful for "sifting powdered sugar, skimming broths and sauces, and even as a sink strainer".
