It is through food that you get most of the magnesium levels you need. However, in some cases, it is necessary to use supplementation. When you do, it is best to leave other supplements of the kind aside, as you may not be getting the effects as you would like.

On his TikTok account, HenrythePharmacist, a pharmacist specializing in nutrition, revealed which supplements to avoid when taking magnesium. He explained that they end up interfering with each other.

One of the examples he mentions is iron. He says that they compete with each other in terms of absorption. In this way, you should wait at least four hours.

The zinc is another supplement to avoid, again due to absorption. Finally, calcium should also be avoided. Multivitamins can also bring some problems.
