A dermatologist explains which foods you should bet on. Do you have them at home?

Food is a great help in maintaining healthy skin. Over the years, the skin begins to lose some of its components and it becomes important to replace them to maintain its elasticity.

The AARP, the American Association of Retired People, in the United States, spoke with dermatologists Dendy Engelman and Nicholas Perricone, to understand which foods will make all the difference.

"Certain foods cause a rapid increase in blood sugar, which triggers a cascade of inflammation," begins Nicholas Perricone. "A few days after changing your diet, you will see a noticeable aesthetic difference in dark circles, fine lines and skin radiance," he continues.

Regarding the foods to bet on, salmon is one of them. They say that you should consume between two to three servings of salmon every week. Blueberries are also perfect for achieving this goal.

"It contains vitamin C, which helps to increase radiance and helps collagen."
