Birkenstock celebrates tradition with new handmade items (and in Portugal)

Good news! Birkenstock recently unveiled a new collection that focuses on "craftsmanship and individuality," the German brand explained in a statement. It's called 'Suede Braided' and it serves to "reimagine contemporary footwear."
The iconic 'clogs', the 'Boston', as well as the one-strap sandals, the 'Oita', have been reinvented, "recreated through traditional details". Each new model "features a suede upper and an elegant braided leather strap handmade in Portugal".
All are made of suede and have a very light 'EVA' outsole, "becoming the perfect combination of functionality for the modern person to walk naturally into the future".
