May 28 marks World Menstrual Hygiene Day. The date was established by the German non-governmental organization Wash United, which works to end the sanitation and hygiene crisis, with the aim of promoting the education of girls and women and raising awareness of the importance of good hygiene during menstruation.
And if you think that the choice of the 28th and the 5th month of the year was by chance, think again. The number 28 represents the average number of days in a cycle. Five is the average number of days of menstruation.

Proper intimate hygiene care - along with a good diet and healthy habits - ensures the balance of the vaginal mucosa, which is composed of fungi and bacteria that protect the vagina from microorganisms that are potentially harmful to health.
