If you want your clothes to keep that pleasant smell they have when they come out of the washing machine, this is the trick you were looking for. According to Informe Brasil, you only need a roll of toilet paper.

The tip couldn't be simpler. Simply spray the roll with your favorite perfume and place it inside the closet. As this publication explains, this will help release a pleasant aroma.
Another option is to soak toilet paper in citrus or lavender oils. Let it dry and place the paper in the closet. In addition to scenting your clothes, it helps to repel insects, such as cockroaches, which hate the smell of lavender.
