Do you drink coffee and still can’t avoid tiredness? There are some foods that can help. Ana Luzón is a nutrition technician and revealed to the blog aggregator HuffPost the foods you should bet on to stay more awake.
"To have energy, it is not enough to ingest the calories we need to cover our energy expenditure. The secret is where these calories come from", begins by saying Ana Luzón.
"The excess of calories does not correspond to a large amount of energy because we do a lot of activity. In that case, it will produce the opposite: a state of fatigue", she continues. This way, you should bet on a balance between fats and carbohydrates.
"We should give priority to complex carbohydrates that provide us with energy in a stable and sustained way." Thus, she points out fruits and vegetables, tubers and whole grain cereals as her best choices.
Regarding fats, she explains that olive oil, avocado, nuts and fish, such as salmon, are good options.
