Lancôme has just announced the launch of its new Hypnôse Drama mascara. Originally released in 2004, it became a hit with makeup artists and celebrities. Now, with an updated formula, it promises up to 17 times more instant volume.
"Lancôme's most volumizing mascara ever is back with a formula that combines maximum performance and intense care," Lancôme said in a statement. The new formula includes a 2% bonding complex, with keratin, jojoba oil and centifolia rose extract, which penetrates the hair cuticles of the lashes, reinforcing them. "With onyx pigments, the formula delivers an ultra-black matte finish, ensuring a 24-hour hold." For an even more dramatic effect, the brand recommends using the Cils Booster XL Mascara Primer to get up to 21 times more volume.

The brush remains unchanged, "providing full coverage and defining each lash from root to tip with maximum volume". The packaging has been redesigned, with a feminine silhouette and a luxurious gold seal.

To complement the dramatic effect, Lancôme presents the new Hypnôse palette in the shade #19 Ardent Drama and the Le Stylo Waterproof Eyeliner in the shade #10 Burgundy Fever, both created by the global creative director of makeup, Lisa Eldridge.
Since the introduction of Lancômatique in 1967, the first mascara in a tube, through Kéracils, the first treatment-infused mascara in 1987, and the iconic Definicils of the 90s, Lancôme has led innovation in the mascara category. In 2009, it launched Ôscillation Powerbooster, the first ultra-conditioning vibrating primer, followed by Micro-Oscillation Powermascara with 7,000 vibrations per minute, transforming the application of mascara. The innovations continued with Monsieur Big in 2017 and Lash Idôle in 2021.
