A 53-year-old man has become a record holder after spending 4h02 'buried' in ice, leaving only his neck and head 'free.

The announcement was made on Friday by the organization, which notes that this was not the first time that Łukasz Szpunar challenged himself with low temperatures.

The new record holder had already spent a few hours in a bathtub of cold water, but now decided to test himself with ice. "Because of my love for the cold, I wanted to challenge myself by sitting in ice," he explained to the Guinness World Records organization.

According to what he explained, the challenge made him "feel alive", and during his journey the 53-year-old man was constantly monitored. The love for the cold has also made him climb four mountains in Poland, where he is from, wearing only shorts.

At first, the Pole felt some discomfort because of the cold, but then he ended up being fine. The organization decided to end the test for safety reasons.
