Video. The emotional adoption of a cat that "chose" a new owner
The video was shared on Reddit and users were quick to comment, also remembering stories with animals.

The moment a child and an animal bond at an animal adoption center is going viral on social media.
The interaction was caught on video and shared on Reddit this week, where users are loving the sweet moment.
The footage shows the young boy picking up the cat, who takes to the cuddle very well and ends up nuzzling the child, who looks overjoyed by the encounter.
"The boy went to the shelter with the intention of adopting a cat and as soon as he got there one of the cats hugged him. The cat chose him," one commenter wrote.
Some weren't convinced the boy was enjoying the animal's affections as much as the animal was enjoying his - but once they saw the little boy's face they changed their tune. "I wasn't convinced until the boy turned around. That smile told me everything I needed to know", another user wrote.
"I still remember the moment my friend's cat finally accepted me. This was after about a year of me being around my friends all the time (our apartment buildings were right next to each other so we hung out multiple times a week). He came up to me and put his head on my chest and just leaned into me. He stayed like that for about a minute, just looking at me. After that, he always wanted to be near me and would let me pet him", another recalled.
