Man sentenced to almost 90 years in prison for death of baby son
Baby was just eight weeks old when she died in 2021 with a fractured skull and a lacerated liver.

A South Dakota man has been sentenced to nearly 90 years in prison in the 2021 death of his infant son.
Dylan Castimore, 24, was sentenced to 100 years in prison, with 10 years suspended and credit for two years already served, after pleading guilty in February to charges of second-degree murder and abuse or cruelty to a minor, the Argus Leader reported, citing the Associated Press.
He was also ordered to have no contact with the baby’s mother, his family or any child under the age of 10 during his prison sentence.
“No matter what the sentence is, I still have to live with myself,” he said in court.
The 8-week-old boy died on Nov. 27, 2021, of a skull fracture. An autopsy also found he had a lacerated liver that contributed to his death, and that he had other injuries, including broken ribs.
