Baby dies after mother spends 30 hours in labor in Brazil
The doctors verified that the baby was in an irregular position in the belly, but they insisted on a normal delivery.

A baby died during childbirth in the early hours of Sunday, April 21, at the Samambaia Regional Hospital in the Federal District of Brazil. The parents are reporting medical negligence after 30 hours of labor while waiting for care.
Bruna and her partner Felipe went to the hospital after the pregnant woman started having contractions on Saturday, according to G1.
The pregnant woman was seen and sent home twice before being admitted.
During labor, the baby's father said that one of the doctors found that the baby was in an irregular position in the womb, but the medical team insisted on a normal delivery.
"My wife asked for a cesarean because she had no strength. They insisted on a normal delivery, but she couldn't," the man said, as quoted by the Brazilian news site.
After procedures to speed up dilation, the baby was born, but something was wrong. She was purple and did not cry.
The newborn was in cardiorespiratory arrest and had to be resuscitated, without success.
The family was shocked by the news and blames the hospital for medical negligence, as they believe that Bruna did not receive adequate care during labor.
"I'm here without my daughter in my arms because of medical negligence," Felipe said.
