Woman dies after being stabbed on LA Metro
Suspect was detained by police about half an hour after the attack.

A woman died Monday after she was stabbed on a Los Angeles subway train. The suspect was taken into custody by police about a half-hour after the attack.
Los Angeles Police Det. Meghan Aguilar said the woman was attacked about 5 a.m. "between the last stop and Universal City Station." The victim got off the train at Universal City Station and was taken to a hospital, where she died, according to ABC News .
The attacker got off the train at the same station and ran away on foot. About 5:30 a.m., police detained a man matching the suspect's description.
The motive for the attack was not immediately known.
