Remains of the largest snake in history found in India

A group of researchers decided to 'bring to light', in India, what could be the largest snake ever seen.
The reptile, between 11 and 15 meters long, is believed to have lived 47 million years ago and was buried in a mine in Gujarat.
Now, a team of researchers from the Roorkee Institute of Technology, led by Debajit Datta and Sunil Bajpai, decided to recover the animal, says ABC.
The case is being shared in the journal 'Scientific Reports.
This reptile is a Vasuki Indicus, believed to be the largest snake ever seen in the world. Its name is a tribute to the mythical snake around the neck of the Hindu deity Shiva, a reference to the culture of India [in the cover photo].
