British stag party in Spain detains suspected thief

Five off-duty British police officers have detained a man in Barcelona, Spain, in a major assist to local authorities.
According to Sergeant Eren Emin, 30, the group of officers were on a stag do when the incident occurred.
The officers noticed a man jumping over the counter of a restaurant in Barcelona and attempting to steal electronic items, and they did not hesitate to act.
The five officers chased the thief for around 50 metres before managing to restrain him. They held him until local officers arrived, the Daily Mail reports.
"Being a police officer is second nature. I am a police officer. It is my job. Wherever I am, it doesn’t matter where we are, whether we are in Spain or not, we have to do what is right,” Emin said.
