18-Year-Old Woman Seriously Hurt in Stabbing Attack Near Tel Aviv
An 18-year-old woman was seriously wounded in a stabbing attack outside the central Israeli city of Tel Aviv on Thursday, medics and police said, adding that the assailant was shot dead.

Police have yet to release details about the identity or motive behind the attack.
"Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics treated an 18-year-old woman who was fully conscious and in serious condition with an upper body injury and evacuated her" to the hospital, an MDA spokesperson said, adding that the assailant had been killed.
The Israel Police said in a statement that it was investigating "the circumstances of a stabbing attack in Ramla."
"Initial findings indicate a stabbing victim and a neutralized assailant," it said.
"We quickly arrived at the scene where we found an 18-year-old woman, fully conscious, suffering from stab wounds to her upper body. We treated the wounds and stopped the bleeding,” said medic Mendy Amitai, according to the MDA statement.
Located near Tel Aviv, the city of Ramla is home to both Jews and Arabs.
