The RN list, from Marine Le Pen, has registered an increase in voting intentions of the French, being followed by the party of the French President, Emmanuel Macron, (Renaissance, led by Valérie Hayer), which fell to 17%, in relation to previous surveys in which these parties had 30% and 18%, respectively.

The European left-wing platform of Raphaël Glucksmann, which joins the Socialist Party and the Place Publique, continues to rise, registering 14% of voting intentions, according to the survey conducted by the Ipsos Institute, in partnership with the Sciences Po university, the Montaigne Institute, the Jean Jaurès Foundation and the French newspaper Le Monde.

The growth of the left-wing list, previously with 13% of voting intentions, is driven by the transfer of votes from Renaissance, environmentalists, the radical left France Insubordinate (LFI, in French acronym) and the French Communist Party (PCF).

Although the far-right party's leadership position seems secure, the same does not happen with the remaining parties, mainly with Macron's and Glucksmann's, due to the impact of undecided voters, who can decide the second and third places.

At a time when the French head of state continues to defend a European investment in defense, due to the conflict in Ukraine under Russian invasion and NATO's dependence, the French remain divided on the military issue.

The survey revealed that the majority (58%) of the 10,651 French people surveyed will vote taking into account the parties' proposals for national issues, such as purchasing power, immigration, health and the environment, considering that European issues are already addressed "correctly".

For the majority of respondents (54%), decisions made at European level have a "very negative" impact on the country's situation, contrary to the opinion of those who are preparing to vote for the presidential list, since Macron is known as a "true European president", wanting a federal Europe.

On April 25, Macron spoke at the Sorbonne University, in Paris, about France's priorities for the European Union's strategic agenda, which was also seen as a way to enter the electoral campaign to highlight his party and the main candidate, Valérie Hayer.

The elections for the European Parliament take place between June 06 and 09.

In both France and Portugal, voters will go to the polls on Sunday, June 09. This election is expected to register a decrease in voter turnout compared to previous elections.
