Spanish Daniel Sancho testified this Tuesday before a judge for the murder of Edwin Arrieta and confessed that he felt "sorry and guilty" when he saw the state in which the surgeon was. Even so, he denied premeditation of the crime.

In his testimony, Daniel Sancho, 29, reiterated that he acted in self-defense after the Colombian surgeon tried to rape him. According to La Voz de Galicia, the Spaniard also said that Arrieta threatened him and his family. This version had already been presented by Daniel Sancho and has been maintained since November.

The Spaniard recounted everything he did from the moment he arrived in Thailand on July 30 until the night of the surgeon's death and, subsequently, the dismemberment and abandonment of the body.

Imprisoned for nine months in Thailand, Sancho answered his lawyer's questions for three and a half hours. However, the son of Spanish actor Rodolfo Sancho will continue his statements on Wednesday to answer the Public Prosecutor's questions.

It should be recalled that the son of Spanish actor Rodolfo Sancho was arrested in August last year and accused of murdering, dismembering and hiding the body of Colombian surgeon Edwin Arrieta.

Sancho met with the victim on August 2 and they rode a motorcycle together. When they returned to the hotel, they had an argument after the Colombian asked him to have sex. Sancho allegedly punched his friend in the face, knocking him unconscious.

The man, in a panic, then took him to the bathroom, trying to revive him. After waiting an hour and with no response from Edwin Arrieta, Sancho decided to start dismembering the doctor, a process that he admitted took "three hours".

On the same day, he put the man's remains in black plastic bags and rented a kayak that helped him throw most of them into the sea. The rest of the body was taken to the island's landfill, where hours later a worker would make the discovery.
