In a message within the scope of May 1st, Labor Day, José Maria Neves defended that it is worth it, in "social dialogue headquarters, all partners seek to find the best solutions", so that they can "respond to the fair demands of the different professional groups".
"It would be worth it, also in Cape Verde, that the social partners, through a productive dialogue, establish a pact for growth and employment", he also defended.
For the Cape Verdean head of state, only with more productivity, competitiveness and growth, the country will be able to generate more jobs, increase salaries and guarantee more income to Cape Verdean workers.
"It is important that everyone be available for this constructive dialogue, in order to build the consensus that are necessary not only to improve Cape Verde's economic growth rates, but also to substantially improve the income and quality of life of all", he stressed.
He also admitted that many companies in Cape Verde are going through "tremendous difficulties", particularly after the covid-19 pandemic and recognized that there have been more layoffs, unemployment, loss of income and more difficulties for workers and their families.
"It is worth working towards building a better Cape Verde, more modern, more prosperous, fairer and more inclusive, especially with many more opportunities for all workers", he concluded.
