'Baby Reindeer'. Martha Stewart calls the show's creator a "psychopath"
Fiona Harvey insists she was not ‘obsessed’ with Richard Gadd and denies sending him 41,000 emails – saying it was ‘far fewer’. She is now suing him and Netflix, claiming the comedian only made the show for ‘money’ after he ‘failed’ as a stand-up.

Beyond the victim, as the show is based on a true story, viewers have become intrigued by who the real-life Martha Scott, played by Jessica Gunning, is. And in April, one name began trending on social media: Fiona Harvey.
Now, on Thursday night, May 9, the alleged stalker has come forward, admitting she is the real Martha Scott, and has given a bombshell 30-minute interview to Piers Morgan, giving her “side” of events as portrayed in ‘Baby Reindeer’.
During the chat, the Scottish lawyer accused the creator of the show of being a “psychopath and a misogynist” and claimed the story is “full of lies”, revealing she is suing Richard Gadd and Netflix for defamation.
Speaking to Piers Morgan, Fiona said she hasn’t watched the show because it would “make me feel sick” and only found out it was about her when she was contacted by the Daily Mail.
When confronted about the 41,000 emails, 350 hours of voicemails, 744 tweets and 46 Facebook messages she allegedly sent to Richard, Fiona denied it all. She said she never sent any voicemails to the comedian, never contacted him on Facebook and only sent “a handful” of tweets and “nowhere near” the amount of emails claimed.
“Someone who sends that many emails would be obsessed with him, I wasn’t that person,” she said.
According to Fiona, Richard has severe mental health issues as “somebody who does what he has done - lies and makes things up - has a psychotic disorder”. “He needs to look at himself, he needs help,” she said.
During the interview, Piers Morgan also quizzed the Scot on the stalking of Richard’s family and girlfriend, which Fiona also denied, adding: “He didn’t have a girlfriend, he’s gay.”
Fiona also claimed she never went to the now show creator’s house, nor did he ever go to hers. She said she always paid her own way, unlike how it was portrayed in the show. The lawyer also denied ever being arrested or convicted of any stalking offences.
In the Scot’s opinion, Richard only made the show for “money” as he had “failed” as a comedian.
