Man marries woman he met online and uncovers 'secret'

A young man met his soulmate through social media, got married and only later realized that the woman was, in fact, a man.
The case happened in Indonesia and is told by the protagonist himself under the name AK. He says, quoted by 20 minutos, that he met his partner through the internet, where they created the basis for their relationship.
The two met in person before getting married and although AK admits that his girlfriend had some peculiar characteristics, he never suspected that she was hiding anything. The woman, for example, almost always appeared with a veil on her face, something that the man assumed was the result of her shyness.
So, AK ended up asking his partner to marry him. She accepted but imposed some rules. Among them, she asked that the marriage not be registered, since her mother had died and she did not know the whereabouts of her father, a situation that made her sad because she had no one to invite to the party. And she asked the man to stay away from his family.
It was this last condition that led AK's family to suspect what was going on and to want to investigate the past of the new family member, having realized that she was, after all, presenting herself with a false identity and was, in the end, a man.
He was arrested and before the court admitted that his goal was to extort money from his partner. The suspect was charged and could face a four-year prison sentence for the crime.
