The moment a plane landed without landing gear at an airport in Newcastle, Australia, shows the skill of the pilot... who had already had a stressful time.

It all happened this Monday, when the pilot took off with two passengers, a 60-year-old man and a 65-year-old woman.

The aircraft took off for a trip to Port Macquarie, a city in the north of the country. The alert was given a few minutes after the start of the trip, when the pilot warned of "problems with the landing gear".

After detecting the problem, the three had to fly around for almost 3 hours in order to burn fuel.

"The pilot made an exemplary landing and got everyone on the ground safely, and that's the most important thing," explained an aviation expert, quoted by the international press. Ron Bartsch also noted that the pilot decided to fly around and land at the same airport from which he took off because it was equipped with better resources for an emergency landing.

"The situation could have been much worse," he explained.

However, the situation will be investigated by the Australian authorities in order to understand what happened. There were also paramedics on site, so that the three people involved in the incident were in good health - which was confirmed.
