A heartwarming episode occurred during the rescue efforts in Novo Hamburgo, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, on Sunday. A volunteer found his own hunting dog that had been missing for seven days due to the floods that hit the state.

Gilvânio Abreu da Silva is part of the team that rescued several animals, but what he did not expect was to rescue his own dog.

"My dog is over there. I'm going to get him. It's 'Pouca Pata'. 'Pouca pata', come here," he says, moved, at the moment he saw the animal, which was witnessed by a team from Fantástico during the monitoring of the volunteers' work that day.

When he finally reached the animal, Gilvâni and the dog starred in the moment. The owner hugged and caressed the animal and even asked him: "Are you okay?".

According to Gilvâni, the animal's name comes from the fact that the dog is missing one of its paws. Coincidentally, the owner also uses a prosthesis on one of his legs.
