Body of a 3-month-old baby found in a dumpster in Madrid

The National Police is investigating the discovery of the body of a baby of about three months between garbage containers in the Barajas neighborhood of Madrid, Spain.
The body, which was in a plastic bag, was found at noon on Sunday (local time) by a resident of the area when he went to throw out the trash.
The man immediately alerted the police and emergency services, EFE confirmed with police sources.
Agents from Group V of the Madrid Police Homicide Unit were sent to the scene, which opened an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the incident and who the parents of the child are.
A medical team from Samur-Protección Civil was also activated, having only confirmed the baby's death.
Shortly after, investigators from the Scientific Police of the Violent Crimes Group (DEVI) took over the investigations and collected samples for analysis.
According to police sources, the baby was at most three months old and it is not yet known whether it was a boy or a girl.
