At least four people have died, 61 were injured and more than 40 are feared trapped after a 100-foot-high billboard collapsed during a storm in Mumbai, India, on Monday.

The storm brought strong gusts of wind that caused the billboard, located next to a busy road in the Ghatkopar suburb, to fall onto homes and a petrol station, CNN reported.

Rescue teams are searching for people trapped under the structure. Firefighters, police and other authorities are involved in the effort, said the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, the civic body that governs Mumbai.

The India Meteorological Department predicted that the region would experience rainfall and winds of up to 50 kilometers per hour (31 miles per hour) on Monday, May 13.

Mumbai airport suspended operations for an hour because of the storm. About 15 flights were diverted to other cities, the ANI news agency reported.
