A driver who fled the scene after being involved in a collision with another vehicle in Valencia, Spain, was eventually stopped by police and arrested after he was found to be hiding drugs in two unusual objects.
According to the Spanish newspaper ABC, it all happened on Saturday when the occupants of a vehicle drew the attention of the Valencia Local Police.
This vehicle was following another car, which had hit it and whose driver did not want to make a friendly statement after the accident.
The officers managed to stop this driver in a nearby area, who appeared to be "very nervous" and had a "slurred speech", according to police sources.
Initially, he claimed that he had not left his phone number with the other person involved in the accident because he was in a hurry and, later, that it was not his fault and that was why he had not stopped. Given these contradictions, he was subjected to an alcohol test, which was negative, and then to a drug test, which tested positive for amphetamines, methamphetamines and cocaine.
The officers immediately searched the vehicle and a backpack, which contained several objects, two of which were particularly unusual. They were two concealment objects, specifically an iPhone charger and a brush, which were hiding drugs, specifically ketamine and amphetamines.
The man was arrested.
