"How is this possible?" Mother of fugitive inmate in France was shocked
A manhunt is underway for Mohamed A., better known as 'La Mouche', after an ambush on a prison van in which he was being transported, with the aim of freeing him. The attack resulted in the deaths of two prison guards.

The mother of Mohamed A., the 30-year-old inmate who is on the run after escaping from the prison van in which he was traveling after a deliberate ambush in the Eure region of France, revealed that she was devastated by what happened.
"I collapsed, I cried - I was so bad - how can lives be taken in this way?", she began by saying, in an interview with the French broadcaster RTL, about the attack that caused the death of two prison guards.
The mother also described her son's life in the prison system, noting that he was "dragged from one side to the other, that they put him in isolation instead of condemning him once and for all".
The woman also added that she visited him at various prisons where he was, but that her son "never revealed anything". "He doesn't talk to me. He is my son, but he doesn't talk to me about anything. I don't understand", she added.
It should be recalled that two prison guards were killed and two others were in critical condition, after being shot this morning during an attack on the prison van in which they were traveling. The incident took place at a toll booth in Incarville, in the Eure region.
The alert was given around 11:00 am (local time) and the escape involved two vehicles, as well as an inmate. The objective was to free the prisoner being transported at the time of the incident.
One of the cars, a white Audi A5, was discovered burned in the city of Vatteville. The second, a BMW 5 series, fled in the direction of Louviers and Evreux.
A manhunt for Mohamed A., better known as 'La Mouche', is underway. "All forces are mobilized to apprehend the inmate," a police source told Le Figaro.
The suspect is 30 years old and was in prison on a robbery charge and for being suspected of "attempted murder in an organized group" in Saint-Étienne-du-Rouvray. Born in 1994, the inmate was also reportedly the ringleader of a drug trafficking ring.
