A man saw his father's apartment occupied after the death of his father in Tenerife, in the Canary Islands, Spain. The occupation lasted five years and Juan Pedro was forced to pay the bills of the invader, some of more than 200 euros.
According to ABC Spain, the man lives next door to the apartment where his father lived. After the death of his father, the house was not empty, as it was soon occupied. In addition to this situation, Juan Pedro was forced to take over the other person's accounts. "It was not just paying, but having to live with that person, with the possibility of meeting him face to face every day," said the man.
Juan Pedro also pointed out that he received "water bills of 183 euros and some of 223 euros". The man was even approached by the Guardia Civil, who knocked on his door due to a complaint from the invader, who reported that his water had been cut off. The situation had been planned by the company responsible for the water supply in the region.
Although the invader has already left the house, Juan Pedro assumes that he is afraid to rent the house for fear of going through another similar situation.
