10-Year-Old Girl Dies After Being Hit by School Bus in Brazil
A 14-year-old teenager was injured in the accident.

A 10-year-old girl died on Tuesday after being run over by a school van in São Paulo, Brazil. A 14-year-old teenager was also injured in the accident.
According to witnesses who spoke to G1, the two victims and other children were on their way to a private school when the vehicle they were in had to stop due to a mechanical failure. The students were then told to get off the street and wait for a new van.
When the new vehicle arrived, it began to climb the street, which is very steep, and the 49-year-old driver lost control of the van. The vehicle began to descend the street and rammed the girls.
Nuelly Antonia Supeschi Gonçalves Oliveira died on the spot. "She loved going to school and was at her best at school. But it was a fatality. I don't blame anyone, because it was a mechanical failure," the girl's father told TV Globo.
The injured teenager suffered head trauma and was airlifted to a hospital.
The case is now being investigated by the police.
