Government confirms murder charge. I am still in "life-threatening" danger
The perpetrator of the attack on the Slovak prime minister has been charged with attempted murder and the crime was politically motivated, the government announced today, revealing that Robert Fico is still in danger and calling for calm.

The head of the Slovak government, shot several times on Wednesday and undergoing surgeries, "is not out of danger of life", announced at a press conference the vice-prime minister of Slovakia, Tomas Taraba, who indicated that the authorities will continue to update Fico's state of health in the coming hours.
The Minister of the Interior, Matus Sutaj Estok, revealed that the perpetrator, who was arrested after the attack, admitted that the crime had political motivations.
The governor revealed that the man does not belong "to any extremist party, neither left nor right" and that he was a 'lone wolf' (an attacker who acts alone).
