It is a Kiyacursor longipes, a long-legged noasauridae, whose remains were found in the city of Shestakovo, on the banks of the Kiya River.

"It is a new genus and species, its closest relatives are from the Jurassic period", Páxina highlighted, at a press conference within the scope of the Dinoterra festival.

The governor added that the fragments of the dinosaur's skeleton were found last summer, but the discovery was made public in May this year, after its publication in the British magazine 'Proceedings of the Royal Society B'.

"We described the species and genus from a fragment of the animal's skeleton, including the cervical vertebrae, the humerus and elements of the shoulder girdle, in addition to bones from a hind limb", explained Pavel Skuchas, professor of the Department of Zoology at the State University of Saint Petersburg.

The analysis of the remains found in a rock showed that the skeleton belonged to a young dinosaur.
