In a speech broadcast on Thursday night, the Ukrainian head of state said that Russia is launching new attacks on gas infrastructure in western Ukraine.
Zelensky spoke to Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk about the matter on Thursday, the Ukrainian head of state revealed in the same speech.
According to Volodymyr Zelensky, the "Russian terrorist attacks on the western regions of Ukraine" threaten Ukraine's "gas infrastructure" and represent a "threat to the whole of Europe".
In a message about the conversation with Tusk, published earlier on social media, Zelensky said that "one of the Russian targets" is the "gas infrastructure of western Ukraine".
"If Russia succeeds in this goal, it could put the entire energy security of Europe at risk," he added.
"We have to find a way to face this challenge together," said Zelensky, after the talks with the Polish Prime Minister.
