Bolsonaro discharged from hospital after spending two weeks admitted
Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro was discharged today from a hospital in São Paulo, after spending two weeks hospitalized for treatment of erysipelas, a skin infection caused by bacteria, and other health problems.

The information about the hospital discharge was released on Bolsonaro's social media, who had been in hospital in São Paulo since the 06th, when he was transferred from a hospital in Manaus, after presenting a case of dehydration and skin infection.
Last week, while still in hospital, Bolsonaro also reported that he had been diagnosed with an adhesion (bridle) in the abdominal region, a problem that can affect bowel movements and for which he had been hospitalized in the past.
Bolsonaro has suffered recurring digestive problems since he was stabbed at an electoral rally on September 6, 2018, and was seriously injured in the municipality of Juiz de Fora, in the state of Minas Gerais.
The former head of state was hospitalized on the 3rd in the city of Manaus, capital of the state of Amazonas, where he was traveling for political commitments, in view of the municipal elections in October.
Bolsonaro is also facing several lawsuits, one of them linked to alleged coup plans to prevent the inauguration of the current President, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, who defeated him in the 2022 elections.
The former Brazilian president is also being investigated for spreading fake news, for appropriating jewels that he allegedly received when he was President and that according to the law should have been incorporated into the state's heritage, and for falsifying covid-19 vaccination certificates for himself and his daughter.
