Sunak and wife's fortune soars - couple now wealthier than the King
The couple's fortune is valued at £651m (€760m), up £122m on the £529m (€618m) they were worth in 2023.

The personal fortune of UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his wife, Akshata Murty, has increased by £120m over the past year, making them wealthier than King Charles III.
According to the Sunday Times Rich List, published on Friday, the couple’s fortune is now valued at £651m, up £122m from £529m in 2023.
However, the couple’s wealth is still down on its 2022 valuation, when they were worth an estimated £730m.
The couple’s fortune makes them wealthier than King Charles III, although his net worth has also increased over the past year, from £600m to £610m.
Sunak and Murty’s increased wealth is largely due to Indian IT company Infosys, which was co-founded by the prime minister’s father-in-law and is valued at $70bn. According to the Guardian, the value of their shares in the company increased by £108.8m to almost £590m over the past year.
The Sunday Times list is topped by Sri and Gopi Hinduja and family, who control the Indian conglomerate Hinduja Group and saw their wealth increase from £35bn to £37.2bn.
