The complaint was filed in a criminal court by Gabriel Solano of the Workers' Party (left).

Javier Milei arrived in Spain today, where he is participating in the convention of the far-right Vox party, with no meetings scheduled with King Felipe VI or members of the government.

"This is clearly a private trip made with public goods and paid for with public funds from the Argentine State," states the complaint, to which the EFE agency had access.

The text states that "there is no official presidential agenda" for this trip and that "Argentina is not communicating with the Spanish authorities.

The ultra-liberal Milei, in power since December 10, departed from Buenos Aires international airport late Thursday afternoon for Madrid on the presidential plane.

Solano assured through social networks that the total cost of Milei's trip to Spain will exceed 500 thousand dollars (460 thousand euros) and considered that both the president and his sister, Karina Milei, allegedly incur the crimes of fraud against the Public Administration, abuse of authority and misappropriation of public funds.

"The president himself acknowledged that the trip does not constitute a state visit, so it should not be paid for by the Argentine government. We are facing the worst vices of the political caste, which uses the public budget financed by taxpayers for its own benefit," Solano stated on the social network X.

According to the visit's agenda released by the Argentine government, Milei had planned to present his book "El camino del libertario" in Madrid today.

On Saturday, the president and some members of his entourage, including his sister, will meet with leaders of Spanish companies.

Milei also has a meeting scheduled with the deputy and president of the Vox party, Santiago Abascal, his main political ally in Spain, before participating in the party's annual convention on Sunday, where he will give a speech.

The presidential spokesman, Manuel Adorni, stated today that this trip is not "private", said that the costs are "variable" and cannot be disclosed in advance, and also justified that during the visit Milei will meet, in his capacity as president, with Spanish businessmen.

In the meantime, the 'number three' of the Spanish government, the Minister of Labor Yolanda Diaz, accused Javier Milei today of spreading "hate".

"There are not many hate propagandists, but they make a lot of noise and flood everything," said the Minister of Labor, Yolanda Diaz, during a forum at the ministry.

"Milei and other governments of hate are back with their austerity cures and their authoritarianism," added the minister, leader of the far-left Sumar party, quoted by AFP.
