"She was wearing headphones." Woman dies after being hit by a train in Spain
The incident occurred near the Reinosa train station. The train was traveling from Santander to Madrid.

A woman died on Friday morning after being hit by a train traveling between Santander and Madrid, in Spain, at a level crossing located between the Cantabrian towns of Reinosa and Matamorosa.
As confirmed by the Guardia Civil to Europa Press, the accident occurred at 10:40 a.m. (local time) and, as a consequence, rail traffic between Reinosa and Sopeña was interrupted, which affected the trains that were making the journey.
After the alert, firefighters, emergency teams and the Guardia Civil were mobilized to this level crossing, located next to the Reinosa train station.
One of the passengers who was on the train at that moment told El Diario Montañés that she noticed "a very sudden braking". After that, "the train stopped and it was heard that the driver was informed that it was a young woman who was wearing headphones and seemed not to have noticed that the train was approaching", she added.
The causes of the collision are unknown and are being investigated by the authorities.
